South Canterbury DFAS was started in 1989 when the waiting list for Canterbury DFAS became too long. From the beginning we have had a full membership and waiting list, though in recent years a more benevolent attitude has been taken to admitting new members.
Meetings are normally held on every third Monday of the month and from March 2010 will be held at Keynes College, University of Kent, Canterbury. Members usually arrive from 6.45 p.m. to enjoy coffee and socialise. Lectures start at 7.30 p.m. and finish just over an hour later. There is the opportunity for early arrivers to have coffee or tea before the meeting. This offers an ideal opportunity for members to discuss the lecture.
